Starting at a new gym can feel intimidating—we get it.
That’s why at Altona Bay Training, we’ve created a space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered from day one. Whether you’re new to fitness or returning after a break, you belong here and we will do everything we can to make you feel stronger and more confident.
Our strength and conditioning classes are designed for all levels, with expert coaches who are genuinely passionate and will guide you every step of the way. You’ll never feel lost or out of place because our trainers and members are here to encourage and support you.
FIRST CLASS FAQs
BEFORE CLASS

We recommend arriving at the gym 10 minutes before the session. This will allow time to get you checked into session and show you around the facility.

Say hello to whoever is coaching the session and mention that it is your first time. They’ll take good care of you.
DURING CLASS

ABT sessions are coach-led group functional fitness sessions. Every session you will be guided through a workout specific warm-up, a strength block or conditioning block (depending on the day) and a cool-down stretch.

Drink bottle, gym towel and a great energy.

Wear athletic clothes that are comfortable for you to sweat and move in.

All of our sessions are beginner-friendly and allow everyone to train at their own pace.
Our coaches are trained to modify and make adjustments to the program on the fly to meet you where you are.
AFTER CLASS

Yes! Feel free to have a shower after your workout.

That’s the spirit!
Be sure to take time to stretch, mobilize and hydrate following your session.
Make sure you keep moving as you recover - light recovery exercises like walking are perfect for keeping the soreness at bay!
